Focusing on Fundamentals

Additional Information

When allegations of domestic violence arise in a family-law case, professionals are often faced with complex information, competing accounts, and significant implications for children and parents. This training provides the practical framework professionals need to approach these cases with greater confidence, clinical insight, and consistency.

Designed for parenting facilitators, custody evaluators, and other professionals working with families involved in the legal system, this 2.5-hour training explores the fundamental principles of assessing and evaluating domestic violence within the context of family dynamics, parenting, and child custody.

Led by experienced presenters Dr. Tammi Axelson and Dr. Aaron Robb, participants will gain clinically informed knowledge and practical strategies for identifying relevant risk factors, evaluating information, understanding patterns of family violence, and considering how allegations of violence may affect parenting and children.
