 This course is designed to meet the Amicus training requirements of HB 2530, as well as PF and Custody Evaluation training (This includes 3 of the 8 hrs. required for parenting facilitators and coordinators).


4 Hrs. CEU and CLE, 1 hrs. ethics for Social Workers, LPCs, LMFTs, Psychologists, and Attorneys


This training equips professionals to recognize family violence dynamics in legal settings, apply evidence-based interventions to enhance safety and reduce emotional harm, and preserve healthy parent–child relationships amid high-conflict situations. Participants also gain practical, research-supported skills in child interviewing and in addressing unhealthy parenting and co-parenting patterns to support informed, child-centered decision-making. 


While hosted by Between Two Homes, LLC, this 4-hour seminar was presented by Dr. Tammi Axelson and Dr. Aaron Robb.  


Learning Objectives:

  • Learn about different types of abuse and the behaviors, functions, and impacts of each.
  • Identify different categories of violence and why understanding them is important in assessing future risk.
  • review evidence-based interventions to minimize emotional hardship while maximizing safety for all family members. 
  • Explore strategies for assessing domestic violence and implementing interventions.
